Our mission is to inspire and educate our community with and through our choirs, creating a space in which beauty from the Catholic sacred music tradition can touch the hearts of all who hear. Our ensembles pursue excellence in Gregorian chant, sacred polyphony, and modern choral music to perform at liturgies, concerts and seminars throughout the state of Maine.
Voces Auream Chamber Choir
The Voces Auream Chamber Choir is an adult mixed ensemble specializing in Gregorian Chant and a cappella choral music from all eras with a focus on Renaissance composers. Rehearsals take place on Mondays nights from 6:30pm-8:00pm
Voces Auream Boy Choir
The Voces Auream Boy Choir (comprised of the Choristers and the Schola Prima) instills musical appreciation, vocal skills, creative expression, discipline, confidence, and comportment in all its members. These skills and the bonds of friendship formed in their pursuit can last a lifetime and make the boys a source of goodness, truth, and beauty in the community. This ensemble is for boys roughly starting at 8 years old and continuing until the voice changes.
